By Oritsejolomisan Edun The Transport Management Commission (TMC), Great Ife Student Union, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), has raised concerns over the circulation of counterfeit OAU shuttle transport tickets reportedly being sold by some vendors within the university community. In a release dated 21 June 2026 and addressed to students, the commission disclosed that fake versions of the shuttle tickets are currently in circulation and warned students to exercise caution when purchasing tickets. To help students distinguish between genuine and counterfeit tickets, TMC highlighted several identifying features. According to the commission, the imprint on the original ticket runs continuously and clearly across the bus and tricycle icons, while the fake version shows interruptions in the imprint, suggesting manipulation.
