FORMER AJAX STAR REACTS TO VICTOR OSIMHEN'S COMMENT ON INJURY ALLEGATIONS

Former Ajax star, Findi George has responded to recent viral comments made by Victor Osimhen, who had gone live on Instagram to counter allegations that he faked an injury to avoid participating in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic.

Osimhen's comments incited significant attention on social media, prompting Veteran Nigerian Journalist, Colin's Udoh to investigate the situation further.

Udoh reached out to top executives of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), who claims that Findi had accused Osimhen of feigning injury.

The executives confirmed Osimhen's account that he had communicated with Findi about his injury but clarified that Findi never accused him of faking it.

GOD IS A POET: JOEL OYELEKE EXPLORES RELIGION THROUGH POETRY

On Sunday, 15th December 2024, Joel Oyeleke, a Part 3 student of the Department of English, launched his debut poetry collection, ‘God is a Poet’. The book launch event commenced with an opening prayer led by Isaiah Adepoju. Thereafter, the chief compere introduced some of the special guests, including Kehinde Agunbiade and Adio Favour Oladimeji, the President of NASELS, OAU Chapter. The event featured captivating performances, starting with a spoken word poetry presentation by Marcel, inspired by Hebrews 11:1. This was followed by a beautiful song rendition and a guitar instrumental. Paul Abidoye, a pencil artist, showcased three of his art. He explained that his paintings were inspired by the Bible. FACULTY OF ARTS STUDENT ASSOCIATION PROPOSES ELECTRONIC VOTING TO ENSURE FAIRNESS

The Faculty of Arts Students Association (FASA) held its first press conference today under the leadership of the Electoral Commission Chairman, Oluwamayowa Isaac Alabi, known as LordMayor. The conference, held at HB 3, Room 404, experienced a low turnout of attendees. The purpose of the conference was to ensure a fair, transparent, and credible FASA election, scheduled for June 24th, 2024, at AUD II from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. The electoral commission introduced a new electronic voting system, replacing the traditional paper-based voting. Electoral Chairman Alabi, along with General Secretary Abidemi, provided an orientation on the new voting process. LordMayor explained that the change was made to maintain orderliness, transparency, and fairness during the election.
