  NCB CHANGES MANTLE OF LEADERSHIP The NASELS Communication Bureau of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife experienced yet, another out turn in leadership of the News agency yesterday, 28th of July, 2024, when the out going (graduating) members bid farewell to their undergraduate collegues. The hangout event took place at the Old EDM premises on campus. Both incumbent members and the outgoing members were excited to enjoy the last moment together under a good and ideal atmosphere with a lot of fun and tips of advice from the graduates.  Miss Ifeoluwa Olayinka, the immediate former Editor-in-Chief of the news agency appreciated each active members and the executives who had put in great efforts in making her tenure a successful and beautiful one. FASA VOTES IN NEW ERA OF SUCCESSFUL ELECTION

  The Faculty of Arts Student Association (FASA) held its elections on July 5, 2024, and the voting process concluded successfully with minimal disruption. Despite an initial delay due to logistical challenges, including a shortage of ballot boxes and some disaccreditation issues among voters, the Electoral Commission ensured the elections proceeded smoothly. Election Results: To win, candidates needed a 2/3 majority of the total votes cast, which equalled 616 votes.  Total Ballot Papers: 1500 Unused Ballot Papers: 576 Total Votes Cast: 924 Position-wise Results: 1. WHY YOU HAVE TO SLEEP WELL DURING EXAMINATION

Reports reveal that it affects memory (long-term and short-term ), focus, attention, neuro-behavioural functions etc. Studies show that an hour of sleep loss corresponds to a 0.07 decrease in the end-of-term CGPA.  According to Nemours Kids health , most teens need about 8-10 hours of sleep each night. A CDC study says that a majority of middle and high school students do not get enough sleep, with 57.8% of middle school students and 72.7% of high school students not getting enough on school nights. "Sleep is very important for consolidating memories. In any sort of experimental setting, study results show better performance if you learn material and then sleep on it, instead of remaining awake.
