There was no mass communication so I thought English would be a best pick

NCB: Good evening ma, Can you please introduce yourself?

FYB: My name is Adebola Adefila.

I’m a part 4 student of English Department.

NCB: Can you tell us about your background?

FYB: Okay.I am from osun state and my hometown is Ilesha. But I was born and brought up in Lagos state, my primary and secondary education was also in Lagos.I am from a family of four and I am the second born. My religion is Christianity.

Is there more you need me to add?

NCB: I guess this is okay.

Why did you decide to choose OAU?

FYB: Well, I have always loved the school especially the environment. And I love the impact it had on people I look up to and all. So I thought why not?

Today I’m also a product of the school.

NCB: In the aspect of impact, has school impacted you in anyway?

FYB: Yes, the school has made an impact on me in numerous ways. Academically, it has provided me with a solid foundation of knowledge and critical thinking skills that I will carry with me throughout my life. Beyond academics, the diverse community at my school has taught me the importance of empathy, collaboration, and embracing different perspectives. Engaging in extracurricular activities such as attending seminars, volunteering ,and clubs has helped me develop leadership skills and gained lifelong friendships. Overall, my school has not only prepared me for future success but has also shaped me to become a better person.

NCB: Judging from your response, I guess you would love to choose OAU again.

FYB: At all.

Lol, I don’t like that they are slow in terms of school calendar.

NCB: Well... I guess that's almost everyone's regret.

FYB: Aside academics, what else do you do?

NCB: I’m into buying and selling.

FYB: I sell jewelries.

And I’m also a makeup artist.

NCB: Are you a wounded lawyer or you chose English with your own hands?

FYB: No, I picked English with my own hands.

NCB: Why did you choose English?

FYB: There was no mass communication so I thought English would be a best pick.

NCB: That's cool... Any regrets so far?

FYB: None at all.

NCB: What are your plans after spending more than four years on campus?

FYB: Focus on my career.

NCB: Which is?

FYB: I can’t really tell for now.

I’ve been having a lot of interest lately.

NCB: Sounds cool.

Any unforgettable experience on campus?

FYB: Hmmmm.

Yes, it was really embarrassing for me.I don’t want to talk to about it.

NCB: What advice would you have given to your younger self?

FYB: Invest in relationships. Nurture meaningful connections with family, friends, and mentors. These relationships can provide support, guidance, and joy throughout your life.

NCB: We have come to the end of this session...So do you have any shoutouts?

FYB: To my parents of course! They are my backbone.

And also, can I give a shout out to God too? God has been faithful all through my years of study.

NCB: Yeah, sure. Thank you sooo much for your time miss.

FYB: Thanks for having me.

By Mercy Ojegbola  NCB: Can we meet you? Francis: I am Francis Fortunatus Ohacho, popularly known as Sael. A part four student in the Department of English, Obafemi Awolowo University, I am the incumbent president of the department's students body. NCB: What motivated you to run for the position of President? Francis: I would like to use cliché pumped up phrases like I'm led by my passion for service and all.  People often say they knew I was going for presidency from part one due to my proactiveness, but really I didn't have the Presidency in mind till late second semester of part two.  And that's because I have only wanted to support from the sides, being a significant catalyst for development wherever I am. So I've had roles like Vice President and Fin Sec in mind, but not president. I didn't think I had it. My motivation, in summary, would be the realisation of how efficient I can be to an administration. And I don't doubt it, that with the help of the t...
