Healthier Ways of Disposing Used Pad

For many females, disposing of their used sanitary pads properly could be challenging owing to many factors, part of which is having not to cause pollution, clogging of the Water Cistern, and safety of the users.

However, most pad users find it easier to dispose of their used pad by tying it in a nylon and dispose of it inside any nearest waste bin. I used to be in this circle of ladies until I finally met my roommate who showed me a tedious but the safest way to dispose of my used pad.

To begin with, this used pad is yours and nothing about it should irritate you. This article will educate you on how to dispose of it more healthily because this item is so sacred to have you thrown it anywhere, especially in the waste bin. It will tell you in steps, to make it easier for you.

Step 1: Pick your soiled pad and gently tear the top layer from the back sheet (the water-proofed nylon beneath the pad). You will find in it a soft soaked in menstrual blood tissue (absorbent layer) which can easily dissolve in water.

Step 2: pick that absorbent layer and throw it in the water Cistern (WC). It doesn’t have to irritate you, you just need to get familiar with yourself.

Step 3: Pick the back sheet (waterproof later) and the top layer that you tore apart and put them in a bowl of soapy water. Wash it gently until there are no blood stains on them. The soapy water by now, must have changed its colour to either red or very dark red sort of. Dispose of the water in the WC and rinse the items you washed until no soap stain can be found on them.

Step 4: Flush the water and the particles in the WC neatly and ensure nothing is left in it.

Step 5: Dispose of the item you washed by putting it in a secretive nylon and dispose of that in a waste bin.

Step 6: wash your hands neatly with soap and water and ensure you dry them before doing the next thing.
